After School Playground Duty of Care

Dear Parent/Carers

I am aware that a number of families enjoy the playground facilities after school with their children and other families.

Unfortunately there have been several occasions in the last few weeks where students have been in the playground unsupervised by an adult and have received minor and major injuries.

Students are not permitted in the playgrounds or in the school grounds anywhere after school without adult supervision after 3pm.

If you are unable to pick up your child by 3pm, students are either to wait in the Front Office or in the Quadrangle until they are picked up as there are staff around and nearby who can monitor them.

This is a Duty of Care issue and will be monitored to ensure that students are not playing unsupervised after school as a risk minimisation strategy.
