Geraldton Primary School

Student Leaders

At Geraldton Primary School, we believe in nurturing confident, capable young leaders who set a positive example for their peers. Our student leadership roles provide opportunities for students to actively contribute to school life, build responsibility, and develop valuable skills in teamwork, communication, and service. From helping to run events and supporting their classmates, to representing our school values in action, these students play an important role in creating a respectful, inclusive and vibrant school community.

Student Councillors

Student Councillors demonstrate a high level of attendance, participation in class, and are respectful towards staff and peers. They are always ready to help out when there are jobs to be done, including running assemblies, greeting visitors to the school, looking out for students in need in the playground, providing advice to admin and helping to make improvements around the school.

Faction Captains

Our Faction Captains are here to help with everything related to Physical Education. They will also lead our three factions, Augustus, Fitzgerald and Sanford for the Cross Country and Athletics carnivals in Term 3. Faction Captains are elected by their teachers and peers based on their helpful,  respectful, responsible behaviour, as well as demonstrating good sportsmanship at all times.

Music Leaders

Music Leaders are a highly important part of the Music program at Geraldton Primary School. They set a good example to all students with active participation in music lessons, technological support at assemblies and school events, and representation in extension music groups including excursions and incursions. They are elected by teachers and peers.

REACH Leaders

Our REACH leaders are recognised for being Respectful and Responsible Encouraging Achievers who are Caring and Helpful, which are our school values. Each term, two new REACH leaders are appointed by their teachers and peers, giving students the opportunity to aspire and strive towards a leadership role throughout the year. REACH leaders assist with running our PBS assemblies and work together with staff to help our school community be a happy and safe place for everyone to learn.
